Meet our Team

Dr. Oren graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2018 at James Cook University in Cairns, before returning to home to Melbourne. He has trained extensively around Australia including Queensland and Tasmania and has undertaken volunteer dental work overseas in Cambodia. Dr. Oren prides himself on working with patients in a respectful and professional manner, individualizing his approach to help patients achieve optimal dental health. While being experienced in all aspects of General Dentistry, Oren has a keen interest in Oral Surgery and is up to date with all the latest techniques and protocols. He is passionate about further professional development and postgraduate education and is currently completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology. While living abroad, Dr. Oren also successfully completed the Canadian Dental Board Exams giving him reciprocal licensure there and he holds a Masters Certification with the International Congress of Oral Implantology (MICOI). Dr. Oren is a relaxed, gentle and caring clinician who delivers transparent treatment information and quality patient centred care. Oren has a selfless attitude and as a young adult just out of school volunteered for national service abroad. In his spare time, Oren enjoys spending time with his wife and young son and when he can get away, he is a gym fanatic who also loves socialising and engaging with his local community. Dr. Oren is a member of the Australian Dental Association and speaks both English and Hebrew.

Tanja has enjoyed over 25 years working in the Dental Industry, originally educated and trained in her home country – Germany. In 2008 Tanja obtained her Advanced Diploma of Oral Health in South Australia, where she was awarded the prestigious “Golden Scaler Award” for exceptional talent and clinical skills. She has since worked in Melbourne across different sectors in Dentistry including being a clinical tutor at Melbourne University, but her passion and focus remains in periodontal care and preventative oral health. Tanja is dedicated to continual improvement and is registered with the Australian Health and Practitioner Regulations Agency and is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association.

Tammy is our Practice Coordinator, who brings with her a wealth of experience across the dental industry and is committed to ensuring all our patients needs are attended to. Tammy understands the impact a positive practice culture has on patient experiences. She thrives to ensure professional, caring, and enjoyable experiences for our team and patients alike. Outside of work, Tammy loves spending time with her son and partner, keeping an active lifestyle, and travelling back to the beautiful Western Australian coast to see visit her family.

Irma is the Clinical Coordinator at CDIC, where she provides clinical support to our dentists and Oral Health Therapist (hygienists). Irma is an overseas trained dentists and dental technician, and we at CDIC are very fortunate to have someone with her skills working with us. We are also fortunate that with her extended skill set, our inhouse lab work had gone to another level. Irma believes in honesty, respect and providing the best care for all CDIC patients. Irma’s philosophy in life is summed up by her comment, “I treat others as I would like to be treated. And I do my duties as if today is my first or final day.”

Sophie is a qualified and experienced Dental Assistant. Having spent the past 5 years assisting in general and surgical dentistry, Sophie believes that connecting with patients and being part of their health and smile transformation journey is the most rewarding part of her role. Whether it is chairside or in the theatre room, Sophie loves assisting and learning from Dr Hillel New and having a positive impact on patient experiences. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, shopping, having fun with her friends and traveling back to regional Victoria to visit her family.

Laksith is originally from Brighton, United Kingdom. He graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2015. Laksith has several years of experience working in dental fields and appreciates the opportunity it gives him to meet and communicate with a variety of wonderful people every day. He takes pride in delivering a great patient experience and loves working alongside such talented and caring people at CDIC. Outside of work, Laksith is a keen traveller and adrenaline seeker. He has spent time in Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Australia, and is always planning for his next adventure.

Claudia is a Dental Assistant who originally completed her dentistry training in Paraguay. With an understanding that confidence often goes hand-in-hand with one’s smile, Claudia was drawn to a career in dentistry and the desire to help people with their confidence and dental health. She is passionate about continued learning and enjoys being part of the CDIC team. In her personal time, Claudia loves to travel, keep active, cook and catch up with friends.
