Are Diet and Exercise not helping you lose your “Double Chin?”

Excess submental fullness — known commonly as a ‘double chin’ — gives an appearance of being overweight and makes you look older. There are many factors that can contribute to why we develop a double chin, including:

  • Genetics
  • Weight Gain
  • Ageing
  • Sleeping Positions

Some people struggle dieting and exercise is not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’. The problem is not unique to any one sex with men and women affected equally. So how else can you get rid of that submental fullness and double chin appearance? At CDIC, our skilled clinicians have been specially trained in the United States to deliver ‘fat reduction serum’ into troublesome areas to help melt away the ‘flab’.

This procedure is minimally invasive and can be used for clients aged 18-65+. Individual results will vary from person to person. Treatments are customised to meet our patient’s desired goals and budget.

How do these injections work?

The “fat reduction serum’ is placed gently into the affected areas to permanently destroy fat cells. When used to treat double chins, the fat cells  are destroyed and no longer able to store or accumulate more fat. The dissolved fat that leaks out of the cells is naturally processed through the body’s own natural metabolic processes.

How many treatments will I need?

Cases will vary based on individual need, expected outcome and budget but as a guide, most patients will need at least 2 treatments with some having up to 6 with a delay of  1 month between each treatment.

Are there any side effects?

As with all aesthetic treatments and enhancements there may be some side effects and downtime. Common side effects include:

  • Swelling and bruising
  • Tenderness and pain
  • Numbness in the treated area (albeit a rare possibility)
  • Erythema (redness)

If you don’t like how you look with a ‘double chin’, come in and speak with one of our cosmetic clinicians to discuss all of  your facial aesthetic and fat reduction treatment options.
