Dr Omid Azami graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2016.
Dr Azami is a general dentist with a special interest in oral surgery and implant dentistry. He has completed a one-year oral surgery residency at the Royal Dental Hospital in Melbourne where he performed several hundred cases of wisdom teeth removal under both local and general anaesthetic. He is also currently training to obtain his Post Graduate Certificate in Implantology from the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology (UK), with Dr Hillel New as his’ Mentor’.
Dr Azami finds the challenge of restoring dental form and function very satisfying and values working with patients’ long term to help them achieve their goals. He also values the immediate impact quality dentistry can have on a patient’s quality of life. Having the ability to help someone in pain or to improve his patient’s confidence he finds working at CDIC very rewarding and has embraced CDIC’s unique philosphy to complete dento-facial care.
Outside of work, Omid enjoys keeping fit by running and he is currently training for the Melbourne Marathon and he hopes to qualify for the next years Boston Marathon. He is a big sports fan and follows the NBA and the English Premier League.
